From today, a lender can check the governments Indices of Multiple Deprivation ranking for any property through the Lender Portal. The Indices of Multiple Deprivation are a governmental tool which divides the country into small areas which are then ranked in accordance with the index methodology. The small areas are then organised into deciles of deprivation for the purpose of analysis, with ‘1’ indicating than an area is in the most deprived 10% of the country.

The system development team at Method have had a really busy month with new features deployed every few days. Method’s clients and other system users are by now use to Method’s dynamic and rapid development and deployment of features. But even they have been taken aback by February 2020. The most recent deployment has been the ability for lender clients to access their current VGNs and Portal User Guides through the Lender Portal to ensure that their staff always have access to the most recent document versions.

Method is delighted to announce that its recruitment drive is bearing fruit. Method’s increased workloads has meant that it has been necessary to identify additional surveying practices to ensure the same first rate service that it is recognised as offering. Recent additions to the panel include Sanderson Weatherall, Vail Williams, Anderson Wilde and Harris and Symington Elvery, each of which is a widely recognised practice.

Method is continuing to improve its guidance and support for lender client staff by providing a new Lender Portal User Guide for users with higher level access rights.
